Blubbering Mess
The other weekend my husband grabbed us a dvd to watch on our Saturday night in. Normally he chooses something middle of the road, a comedy, action or drama, something that we both like… I guess you would call it common ground. This week he surprised me with a “chick flick” - Nights in Rodanthe starring Richard Gere and Diane Lane.
Nights in Rodanthe is adapted from the novel of the same name by Sparks, whose list of best selling books includes The Notebook, A Walk To Remember and Message in a Bottle. Well The Notebook is one of my all time favs so I knew that this dvd would be equally as soppy.
Well it was a beautiful story with a wind swept beach and an unusual gothic style house on the ocean but oh my, make sure you have the tissue box handy.
